In 2019, the Villard BID gathered together with community members, leaders, business owners to develop our Strategic Action Plan. This working group worked diligently and strategically to carry out our 5 discipline action plan to revitalize our business district.

An integral piece in the development for the Revitalization of BID #19 was the participation and public input provided by various stakeholders of Villard Avenue. Community input was gathered in a variety of ways. In May 2019, two visioning sessions were held to solicit feedback from stakeholders regarding the future of Villard Avenue. These visioning sessions facilitated by staff from Havenwoods Economic Development Corporation were designed to solicit feedback from stakeholders which included residents, business owners, investors and partners.
The visioning sessions coupled with a set of public surveys helped to
better inform BID #19 as we plan a range of program options to further strengthen the corridor, as well as identify development ideas for properties that are currently vacant or vulnerable to change. The goal was to build on existing revitalization plans and create an up to date strategy for the revitalization of Villard Avenue.
